A short film by Joe Garrity

Joe Garrity is a writer, director, and editor of projects spanning narrative, nonfiction, and visual art. He was Lead Editor and Assistant Director of WATERGATE (2018), a six-part documentary series by Charles Ferguson for A&E and History Channel. In 2017, he directed ALVVAYS - IN UNDERTOW, the official music video for the debut single from Alvvays' second album on Polyvinyl Records, as well as designed and performed live visuals on the band's Antisocialites tour in the U.K., U.S., and Canada. His short film TWINSBURG (2016) screened at over 50 film festivals and garnered 10 top awards.

Joe has worked with Pixar Animation Studios, the Telluride Film Festival, and NBC’s Saturday Night Live. He is pursuing an M.F.A. in Writing through a low-residency program at Vermont College of Fine Arts, concentrating in creative nonfiction and poetry. In New York, he studies improv in the Academy Program at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. He holds a B.S. in Genetics from the University of California, Berkeley.
